Spirit Gourd Vessels
My Grandfathers taught me that all Living Things have Spirits.
So then these Gourds are alive & have Spirits.... When working with them, after I clean them, they tell me exactly who/what they are. What "medicine" they carry and how they wish to present themselves to the people (how they look).
They also tell me their stories...and those stories carry teachings & healing for the people.I never decide on my own... "Well this one is going look like this."
When I don't know what to do with a gourd, I set it aside until I have the "vision" of how to finish it. Some even evolve from one look to another......
These Gourds, they are alive, their Spirits are there, they are Teachers... They offer messages & healing to those who choose to recognize & accept their gifts/offerings.
As for myself, I'm merely the vehicle they have chosen to make their selves known.
So its like that…..
